![]() ![]() I had been getting into Lightroom, but the new announcements from Adobe regarding turning LR into a subscription model have me rapidly moving towards other software. I'm muddling my way through trying to learn the capabilities of several different products, of which I have bitten and purchased on specials etc. Add film grain to avoid posterization.įirst, in full disclosure, I am anything but an expert in post processing. Just add a graduated filter (or brush the sky) to lower the brightness, increase contrast and clarity. Regarding clouds, Lightroom can be enough. After a while you get the hang of it and you develop your own style (low or high contrast, saturated or muted, types of colours, etc) Look at the final jpeg (100 quality, no resizing) and learn from the mistakes. Just go through one photo with the addons and then export it as jpeg. So open the addon that does the first thing, play around a little, try extreme values, try moderate values, find the sweet spot. Start with lens corrections, Noise reduction, then maybe presharpening, PP like WB and contrasts and stuff, then saturation and the final sharpening. I think you should go according to the process. ![]() Is it just by trial and error that you find out which Add Ons you need to perfect your photo? There might be some blogs and youtube videos about how to use topaz. There doesn't seem to be any order in which you set about learning the Tutorials and it is just a matter of learning the program that you have bought. I have tried using the Topaz Forum, but it is unlike this forum (unless I have miss-interpreted it), you just cant' post a question and have to get a ticket? Please let me know if I an incorrect.Īny help/advice would be gratefully appreciated. There is a lot to learn in the art of photography and it is an expensive hobby, so any mistakes can be rather expensive as these Add Ons are at a cost. Is it just by trial and error that you find out which Add Ons you need to perfect your photo? Any help would be grateful appreciated and I do apologise if something similar has been asked before, but I was unable to find such a thread. Of course a lot depend on me the shooter. I shoot Landscapes primarily and would like to enhance the clouds formation in my photos, sharpness, colour and whatever else to enhance my photos. I have Topaz Studio (the new version) and have purchased HSL Color Tuning, Remask 4 and Topaz Adjust 4 and would like to hear from any members what else I need to purchase. I think after Lightroom 6 Adobe will support till 2018, so members are being forced to take out a subscription. I have little knowledge of Lightroom 5 & Photoshop 11 and do not wish to take out a subscription.
